Re: aluminum part manufacturers

i must disagree with the plastic c hubs

best is to have the uprights and c hubs aluminum and plastic arms as a fuse.

aluminum arms easily bend your tvp's when you hit something.

Re: how old are you, and what do you do for a living?

i think i was a bowling machine mechanic when i posted last time. i have now opened up a 1/1 repair shop and work alone. i keep my savage by the fire hose as it likes to spend most of its time on fire.

Re: Pinion keeps coming loose

scuff the motor shaft with scotch brite or similar to give the loc tite something to bite to. ( i use blue loc tite  ) my pinions have never come loose. make sure that you get rid of all fat or greese with a good cleaner that leaves no residue ( i prefer brake cleaner ) it is very important that the...

Re: Does savage flux still have good in air control?

with the right remote and right settings, the brushless setup is way more capable than nitro. but you need to have stable trigger finger as brushless will be way more responsive if you want to try and make it jump without flipping either way. also smaller light tires will make the truck less respons...

i had one go up in intensive flames, was like a blow torch set on max.

quickly disconnected the batteries and it was easy to blow out the remaining fire.

most durable electric truggy

i'm starting to look for a new truggy. my electric hellfire was fantastic except the arms were weak and the diffs were an issue until i installed cen ones. now i want to find a new one and it must be as tough as possible to handle the big tires i'm throwing on it. it is meant for bashing only. so ha...

Re: HD servo saver compared to stock

it is ts the uneven surface on the two plastic parts the spring is compressing together. the cams make the spring compress when you rotate the two parts.

Re: HD servo saver compared to stock

when the hd spring came out, i bought one and i could feel it well that it was stiffer. i use large tires and a strong servo but the standard spring would not let me have the full use of the strong servo as the cam would open under fast turning and steering feels sluggish. i installed the hd spring ...

Re: locked rear diff..

of course you should have fun experimenting with different stuff, but locked rear will cause allot of broken stuff plus the truck will be nearly uncontrollable as every time one of the rear wheel looses grip, the other wheel that has grip will will make the truck change direction.

Re: tranny vs center diff

as said above, there will be dramatic decrease in drivetrain breakage, every single bit of the drivetrain will benefit from it.
plus with the right fluid in the diffs, you can greatly increase the control of the truck, probably puts it in the revo territory when comes to handling.
