Re: Transmission Upgrades

Hey SV250, good seeing ya again.  And great news on the gears.  Looks like Dan is still running the show over there.

Ghonda, I'm running the RR slipper now but I notice some teeth are starting to chip.  I'll keep you in mind when it finally goes.

Thanks guys!

Re: Vorza Hexes On Savage XL

Excellent, I started looking for a new solution as my Blue Groove hexes that I had to drill out for started getting real sloppy after a while.  Please update on how well these hold up over time.

Transmission Upgrades

Hi All:
I've been out of RC for about 4 years so please excuse me if I don't explain well or miss some of the lingo.

I have a X that I converted to BL long ago.

Re: Savage xl Shock upgrade

I went with Baja 5B shocks, but then again I like to jump my Savage off the roof of my house.  :)  It's not a recommended upgrade.

I knew a guy who built a street Savage and he ran 4 in the back and 2 in the front.  Not sure if that helps any.

I put 1:5 scale shocks on my Savage, but a 1:5 motor?  Too much!

Re: 1:5 scale Killer Krawler

I see the confusion now.... I posted a generic pic of the KK a couple of years ago in this thread.....
We never used those tires.  No tires or rims actually come with the KK.

So, everyone is right....   :)

Re: 1:5 scale Killer Krawler

Just for a refresher, here is the build: http://www.rccoh.com/rc.rock.crawling/n ... build.html

The Killer Krawler does NOT come with rims or tires.  I used Proline Cheyenne rims and MOAB XL tires for this project. (Tires on page 2)

Re: 1:5 scale Killer Krawler

No, they are not redcat tires.  I listed what they were.  Where's the confusion (???)

Hey guys, it's that time a year again.  NASA had their Innovation Day again and now in addition to the big crawler, they have a jet and 2 heli's.  Update here: http://www.rccoh.com/rc.rock.crawling/n ... .2012.html

Re: FlexTek coming back sort of!

I just got the email from them on this.  This is great news.  I LOVE my Flextek arms and my site (rccoh.com) gets pounded with questions about them and where to buy some.
