Re: Is this forum still active?

The XS does a good job if upholding the durability standard with the exception of the stock outdrive cups. Go HD air and you're good to go. I went with the set of hot racing. Things so much fun at the BMX dirt jumps.

Google iced me out lol. I'm on some Facebook rc groups but forums are more informative and way easier to search for older ...

Re: Is the OFNA throttle mod really a benefit?

i use the stock set up and have had to replace the c  shaped spring once in 2 years.
i have no problems with the stock set up ,it opens the carb all the way and squeezes the brakes
hard enough to do summersaults. no complaints here, but the moded setup does look cool.

Re: Do reverse modules wear out?

i would expect some kind of stripping or clicking sound if the servo wasnt engaging the tranny all the way,if its smooth freewheeling i suspect a oneway bearing in the tranny is slipping. reverse is more of a pain than its worth in my opinion.

Re: HDDB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heay Duty!!!! db

i use mobile one synthetic grease in my diffs...works awesome and i havnt stripped a spider since i started using it..its thick enough that it causes a limited slip effect too......that or silicone ,silicone is available in different weights for tuning but grease is a better lubricant.

Re: Slipper pad upgrade?

i always scuff the metal disc on the concrete to give the pad more bite and clean all the clutch components with contact/brake cleaner...if that dosnt work i would replace all the parts between the spur gear and the clutch hub

Re: Baja vs Savage .... 2-0

baja corners better and handles very well but it seems to  flop hard on flat landings. the savage has way more body roll because of its narrow chassis but is handles big jumps bettter. both cars are totaly bad O.     i rould still rather have the savage.....

Re: Whats better, Dual Stainless or Dual Fiber Disc Brakes?

i have the old single  fiber disc setup from the savage 21 and iv found that if you scuff up the metal pads and clean the fiber disc with contact/brake cleaner the work great, even enough to do stoppies.  i scuff the pads on the concrete!

Re: what do i need to get my savage to look like this

xtm makes a tube chassis, solid axle atrosity with a 247 motor but i forget what its called and i hate xtm too much to look it up .
its funny to see hobby people employees pretend like they belive that xtm dosnt stink.
