Suspected air leak

Last weekend my son and I Wanted to drive the savage a little bit. We started it up tuned it in the driveway but we couldn't get a really good tune on it like we normally do. The problem was if we tuned for a low idle it would stall. Currently my idle gap is right at .5 mm and everything should be f...

on off switch glitching again

About one year ago I went racing and my day was cut short because my buggy was glitching.  Both steering and throttle were all over the place.  Eventually I found out the on off switch was bad.  I ordered another one and everything was fine.   Two days ago I was taking some laps in the driveway prep...

Re: Savage supported by Traxxas

That doesnt sound good.  I hope its not true.  If traxas owned hpi how could the Revo and the Savage coexist?

Glad to hear it. It's a good feeling to get your rig started after a hard to find problem. Looking forward to the video.

Re: Can't get savage 4.6 started need help please video

I meant was the piston moving up and down. Some of the savage engines have one way bearings that begin to slip with to much oil content in your fuel.
Is your igniter fully charged?

I have been wanting to get one of these for a while. I know they would save a lot of time.

Re: Can't get savage 4.6 started need help please video

After watching your video I would say your glow plug igniter isn't fully charged or your one way bearing is slipping. That sounds and looks like the engine isn't turning over. If your engine has a one way bearing it sounds like it's slipping. I doubt whoever figures out how to get you started will w...

Re: Can't get savage 4.6 started need help please video

Sounds like there may be a blockage somewhere in the carb or needles. Maybe disassemble the HSN to see why fuel is flowing to carb but not inside the engine. Also I am not very familiar with the current setup on the starting shaft but I would look there as well and see if the engine is actually turn...

Re: Great find on Amazon.com

Well my package arrived last Saturday. I opened the outer box and found a styrofoam purple airplane fuselage. The receipt said 8ight 3.0 but clearly that's not what I got. Needless to say when I called they said they couldn't honor the ad and I then returned the airplane part. Oh well, I should have...

Re: Great find on Amazon.com

No it was an ad. Later that day I went on their site and it was listed at $312 or something. I haven't seen that ad since because if true I will order 5-10 of them. It must have been a misprint.

Re: Critique my racing team

After a little Google work and looking at a spare Picco it looks like it doesn't matter where the inlet is pointing. The fuel will make its way into the HSN no problem.

Re: Critique my racing team

You know squid it's ironic that you ask I was just about to post a question with a small problem that I was having. I went racing last weekend and my steering servo went out and I did not have another one. That was pretty disappointing but I learned a lot a sponsored driver

Re: Great find on Amazon.com

Yes that's true but $59 is good for a kit. I paid 600 for that kit when they first came out. I just looked on Amazon again and it's listed at 312.92. I guess the price I saw was a misprint. Hopefully they will honor it. Supposed to be here next week.

Great find on Amazon.com

I was looking around at some rc stuff on the Internet and saw an ad that is hard to believe. Amazon has the Losi 8ight 3.0 for 58.69 or so they say. I have a 3.0 and love it. I also know that the 4.0 just came out but less than 60 bucks for a quality buggy is an incredible price. I ordered one and h...

Re: Savage X vs losi 8ight 3.0

We raced again today. I had the 6.5 mm Venturi in and today I had the 7 mm in. Much closer race today but the savage still won. It's good to see how all the different variables work and what they do to the performance. That's the largest Venturi that came with my Novarossi. Top speed isn't that impo...
