Re: Transmission binding?
I would have never thought of checking the drive cups to cause any binding. But then again, when I see something worn out, I automatically replace it. But it's a great learning peice of advice just in case someone runs into the same problem.

Re: my Savage x 4.6
Are you sure the spur got chipped from a roof landing? I've been landing hard a lot to the point of deforming my rollbar but I'm still using the same plastic spur gear for the last 4 gallons. I've used the stock HPI metal spur gear on my 3 speed with no problems but I slapped my 2 speed back on usin...

Re: Bringing out of LONG storage. HELP!!!!
I'm not a battery expert but I assume you need to have a LiFe capable charger to charge your LiFe batteries. On my Turnigy Accucel 6 charger, I have to choose between LiPo or LiFe when charging

Re: Bringing out of LONG storage. HELP!!!!
What version Savage do you have? You could probably replace your battery box with the newer X/XL versions that way you could put in bigger batteries. I have the Savage X 4.6 I bought in 2013 and the Reedy battery fits perfectly even with a glitch buster stuffed in there.
The only down side is if you don't have a LiFe capable charger you will need to get one.
But the upside to this is that now you have a programmable charger that can fast charge/discharge your batteries, can charge a wide array of batteries (even glow plug ignitors),...

What's a good adjustable upper A-arm kit so that I can add some negative camber to both the front and rear? Also looking for quality turnbuckles.

Re: Wowzers 100 subs...You guys actually watch my stuff?!
Yeah man there was a BMX track I passed by when heading to my cousins place and a lot of open space to bash. No wonder my cuz is into helis! So much area to fly around. Housing is pretty cheap for Califronia standards so it's a plan.

Hey congrats! Don't feel guilty if you're not pumping out vids as much as you used to. You're not obligated to do anything for anyone but yourself. Your RC vids are fun to watch and educational so keep up the good work! Also, I'm sure everyone here has more than RC as a hobbie or interest so it woul...

Re: Critique my racing team
Yeah, those are very helpful pointers Squid! I run my savage at a local track about 20min from where I live and the major changes I have made to it are the tires (switched to 3.8 Proline Blockade which is wider and grips better for the surface of the track than the Badlands I was previously using) a...

Awesome build! For what it's worth, do not in an way buy the IRC rollbar! It's too soft and bends and gets deformed every time you go out bashing. I just bought the old savage .25 rollbar and its holding up pretty good

Re: need new grass/dirt tires
The badlands are really decent tires for your needs except on heavy grass. I think they're a little too small and thin for thick grass, which is my yard. I've ordered a set of the proline Blockade tires to see if there's a decent improvement overall as they are wider and they come in 1/2 offset rims...

Re: stripped spur gear and transmission.
And as Squid explained, make sure your engine is mounted straight. Check the all around feel of the mesh. If the engine is slightly off-angle, the mesh might feel good at one point, then another point it would feel too loose or even bind.
