Re: Resurrecting the beast!

I tore mine down and replaced a few worn oarts and got a new hump pack. I took it out and it ran beautifully! I had a Charger body I won like 10 years ago on the HPI website that I had never painted a am going all out on it to make it a show body. I am even doing some legit auto body work  http...

Re: Resurrecting the beast!

I feel like truggies kind of ruined the MT class. My personal opinion is if you want to run an MT run an MT, if you want to run a buggy, run a buggy! To me truggies were just big wheeled buggies and too similar to spend extra money on. Sure the trucks were a little harder to drive but that was part ...

Resurrecting the beast!

I bought my Savage 25 and joined this site in 2004. I joined a track and raced every Sunday and probably spent about 4 grand that summer upgrading my truck, probably the majority of upgrades are stock now. I tried my best to make a racer out of a truck that was never really meant to be a racer, but ...

Re: hpi dirt bonz vs proline bow tie for race

True that the smaller tires will make your truck better. Though I hated that they came out with those, and truggies for that matter. I mean if you want to drive a buggy buy one. Stop looking for ways to turn the monster class into the buggy class. Just my 2 cents. If you want your original question ...

Re: savage race as truggy?

I use to keep up with truggies, I even beat a top class SUT once. It is very hard though. Is like an ice cream truck racing in nascar unless you do a lot of work. If I still had a track around me that raced any thing but buggies and electric I would still be trying. I might be moving to Texas soon a...

Rc Dirt track in dallas-fort worth TX area?

I might be moving there soon and was wondering if there are any tracks to race at. Thanks!

Re: Quick, cheap and easy LCG mid tank mod

You set it up depending on how big the jumps are that you are taking. This was fine for the tracks I was racing on and it handled like a truggy because of its low center of gravity. If you have problems with bottoming out you could raise it some or use a thicker shock oil. These are twisted toys LCG...

Ok its the Mugen X5T tank and its 150cc, so it is a little bigger than the ofna 125cc mod.

Quick, cheap and easy LCG mid tank mod

I decided to post my mid tank mod since I haven't yet on this site. I call it the Dawg tank mod.. (me being clever... giggles) It is pretty easy, cheap and quick to do. Its nice because you do not have to relocate any servos or cut up your radio box. So far it has worked great with no problems. They...

Re: !!!ATTENTION!!! Invitation for Ohio/Pennsylvania Drivers

LoL, well actually after all my raving, trying to get more people to come, I didn't make it myself. We were camping this weekend and I had everything ready to go, it was only an hour before I was about to leave and this other guy at the camp ground started running his revo. So of coarse I couldn't r...

Re: A quick, cheap and easy mid tank mod

So far it has stayed very solid while bashing and I tested on a jump and it seems a lot more balanced. I have a new problem though because I'm running out of nitro fuel and I don't have any money for more. I was hoping to test it at the race tracking so I'm trying to save. I'm going to have to hold ...

A quick, cheap and easy mid tank mod

I have wanted to do the mid tank mod for a long time now, in fact I bought a mugen tank cheap on ebay last year with the hopes of doing it. But I went to college and ran out of money and time to get it done. But for some reason I just can keep my rc addiction suppressed so a few days ago when I had ...

Need some race engine reviews

Ok, I have done a good amount of racing, everything on my truck has been setup for the one purpose racing. I have a Mach 26 and have been very pleased with it but am considering something new but I have just come back from a 2 year break from RC and am not up to date on the new engines. Could anyone...

Your race tire reviews

Hey, I think we need a thread dedicated to SC members race tire reviews. Tell about what tire(s) you use for racing and why. If you have more than one tell about the conditions you use them for.

I would like to hear a review about the pro-line bad lands tires for racing if anyone has them :D
