Nothing for bigbores. I changed my lsts to bigbores.
Sounds like a plan! Cheaper and easier to come by, too.

Re: LST shock conversion with Nova shock towers?

Bummer, thats what I was afraid of.

Anything special needed to mount the HP big bores instead?

I currently have 4 RacerX SuperShock and they haven been great, but I bent a shaft and finding a replacement shaft seems like a long shot.

Any source for the brackets?

I like Innovative RC stuff but I know actually getting them is like hitting the lotto.

LST shock conversion with Nova shock towers?

Read through the LST conversion thread but didnt see anyone with Nova shock towers: http://novarcproducts.blogspot.com/2010/11/hpi-savage-shock-towers-back-in-stock.html They look very similar to FLM towers, so I was wondering...can I get the FLM conversion kit (i.e. the triangular base standoffs) a...

Re: Is using 4 stock shocks instead of 8 a bad idea?

Im running 4 buggy shocks (RacerX SuperShocks, meant for a <gasp> Tmaxx) on my Savage.  Its a very nice setup, Ive taken plenty of hits and air and it never bottoms out.

Meant more for racing (which I do none of) but its holding up very well for bashing.

Re: Boulder Holder on IRC front and rear extended TVPs?

Excellent suggestions, thanks!

Glad to see Im not the only one with this issue :)

The body will be mostly for "looking good on the shelf" but of course Ill have to take it out every now and then.

Now I just need to come up with a cool paint scheme for it.

Re: Boulder Holder on IRC front and rear extended TVPs?

Just got the body today, it looks like it fits OK....only possible issue is that it hits the muffler depending on how high I mount it.  Dont want to mount it off-center, nor do I want to go and cut large chunks out of it for the muffler to clear. Any idea how well the paint will hold up to heat? Or ...

[quote="whipnet";p="747896"]I painted one of those about a year ago, but never used it because I extended mine with the FLM setup shortly after. http://www.rccoh.com/IMG/paint/proline.boulder.holder/index.html It will fit however. ?With the FLM extended chassis and "over-sized" shocks, it will fit o...

Boulder Holder on IRC front and rear extended TVPs?

Does the Pro-Line Boulder Holder body fit the extended IRC setup?  I *think* it does, its advertised as an MGT/LST, etc body, but I just wanted to be sure.

Thanks.

Ofna 1/7 [Hobao] fuel tank o-ring?

Anyone know the diameter specs (or a part number, even better) on the o-ring for a 1/7 / Hobao fuel tank? I have one on my midtank modded Savage but the o-ring doesnt seal very well anymore.  Wanted to pick up the o-ring only if I could (instead of buying a whole new tank) The only Ofna tank o-ring ...

Re: Ofna 1/7 fuel tank o-ring size.....

Great, thanks!!  I saw them, wasnt sure if they were the same for all tanks.

one more question: Im getting replacements from McMaster.com (they get here much faster than Tower), and they have them in buna-n rubber and viton.

Which is better for glow fuel ?

Ofna 1/7 fuel tank o-ring size.....

I have the midtank mod from IRC along with the 250cc tank from the Ofna Habao/1/7.

Does anyone know the size of the stock o-ring?  I have misplaced it after taking it off to measure.  Not sure it was leaking but I figured be safe than sorry and just replace it.

Thanks.

Re: Cutting a stripe out of tape......

Funny you mention, it is actually 3 colors :)  She saw it in a B Moore brochure, and the rest is horrible history.  I really should define "tear"....in the brochure pic, its not so much a tear as it is a uniform line thats kinda wavy, between the other two colors.  The width remains uniform, the lin...

Cutting a stripe out of tape......

This actually isnt for RC use, but I figured it might be something the pro painters know about :) Im looking for something that is basically a rolling cutter.  Imagine a pizza slicer, but with two rollers parallel to each other, with a gap in between them (3/4" to 1" wide). My wife has me painting t...

Yeah I dont understand it....my ping times are excellent (all under 20ms), so it must be the web server app itself.  If Oarie forgot about the site, is there someone that can just go give the server a swift kick and a three finger salute? :)

Recently (last 2 days) Ive noticed the site is slowing down a lot.  Sometimes it seems fine, but mostly its taken a long time to load any forum pages, threads, etc.  Sometimes I just close out the window and forget about it. Anyone else notice anything?  Im in CT, if anyone wanted to know (for routi...

Did they update the MiniLST?  Or are the improvements strictly on the MiniLST2? Noticed a large price diff between the two, so I wasnt sure.
