Re: what did you break first.

I have had my Savage X 4.6 for over a month now and the only thing that has broken is one of the plastic gears in the steering servo stripped.  I am still new to this but in my opinion the truck is very durable and well built.

TUNED

I finally achieved a successful tune on my savage x.  I am embarrassed to say that it took almost an entire gallon of fuel and countless hours of head scratching but I finally did it.  I was able to drive as long as I wanted today and only stalled a few times when I overcompensated for HTL(OFNA tank...

sway bars

I was putting together a wish list the other night and came across sway bars.  They are not very expensive but I wanted to know a little more about them.  Do any of you use them?  If so  do they perform  well?

Re: My story

I am new also and found this site to be beyond helpful and informative.  I have received an answer for every post and the advice has always been right on.  The LHS that I have been dealing with has no idea what I am talking about half the time when I ask a question.  The other half of the time I do ...

Re: Ofna Tank

When you do the ofna tank mod do  you take into consideration the length of the fuel lines or do you just route the lines in a manner that works best on your truck?  One HTL mod I read about on this site suggested shortening the length  of the fuel lines from the tank to the carb to fix the HTL prob...

HTL suggestions

What is the best way to address the HTL lean problem on a Savage X 4.6 RTR? If your suggestion is a different fuel tank could you specify which one.

Re: How Clean Is Your Savage???

My Savage X 4.6 is only about five weeks old and not dirty enough to clean yet.

I know, I know  it should be dirtier after five weeks but I am still struggling with tuning and have had some OWB bearing issues.

Re: need help buying an air compressor

I use a one gallon Senco at work.  It is so  quiet you can stand above it, talk on your cell and the person on the other end cant even hear it.  You can get it on www.amazon.toolcrib.com

I am new to nitro and I  can relate to your frustration.  In fact I am still struggling with tuning.

What I have learned is that this hobby reqires more patience than anything.

Hello from Crestview FL

My name is Rob and have always had an interest in RCs but could never justify spending the money on a real RC.  I have four boys and my oldest 10 found nitro vehicles online for 169.  I bought one and it arrived about one week later.  It did not take long to realize you get what you pay for.  My son...

I worked on my tuning and wheelies.  My ten year old was able to do his first wheelie with the savage and he was quite happy.

Re: oneway bearing

I ran into this OWB problem a few days ago and tried to address it today after reading this  thread.  After removing and cleaning the OWB three times I noticed my OWB wasnt the problem.  The problem is the nut that surrounds the OWB is slipping on the OWB.  The next time I access the OWB I think I a...
