Re: Savage X vs losi 8ight 3.0

We raced again today. I had the 6.5 mm Venturi in and today I had the 7 mm in. Much closer race today but the savage still won. It's good to see how all the different variables work and what they do to the performance. That's the largest Venturi that came with my Novarossi. Top speed isn't that impo...

Workbench lighting. LED strip lights

I applied one strand of strip lights behind the bottom rail of my cabinet. I would like a little more light so I plan on adding another strand o...

The more I think about it you're probably right. I think the next time I drive I will experiment with the different Venturis just to see the differences.

NitroRCnerds tuning

As many of you know I have struggled with tuning over the years. However beginning with nitro Jedi s  sticky referencing a .5 mm idle gap  I have made great strides. I cannot remember for sure but one member on here wink me to a video on YouTube and I think that YouTube channel is nitroRCnerds. The ...

Re: F4.6 new liner/piston question

I use a heat gun. Apply heat straight down the cooling head and occasionally rotate around. Just don't hold it to close or in one spot for to long. Some people use a hair dryer.

Re: F4.6 new liner/piston question

Before your engine is broken in there should be a lot of pinch. I would recommend preheating your engine to 180-200f before starting. The heat will loosen the pinch. You could also loosen the glow plug 1/4-1/2 turn and then retighten after the engine starts.
Also, welcome to savage central

3 needle carb

In my buggy I run a Novarossi P5XLT and I am very happy with it. In thinking about my next engine I was wondering if I like the P5 this much the Clio or keep off or whatever might be better. After some research I think the P5 is best for me but I may or may not try a more expensive Novarossi when th...

Candy paints Spatz

I am going to be doing a new body for my Savage X.  I would like to do a different color and I have chosen Spatz Candy green.  I have searched for the information on backing but cant seem to find it.  What do I back it with? Silver white black?  I did candy red before and backed it with silver and i...

Re: Badboy needs a little TLC

Everything has been disassembled and cleaned. It's about as clean as I can get it. I love those videos on how to clean your rc and the vehicle isn't that dirty to start with and they brush it with a paint brush and then blow some air on it. Voila it's clean.  Well let's just say that wouldn't work o...

I am running a vented clutch bell that's about four years old and I would estimate I have had at least two sets of bearings go out in that clutch bell.

Re: Badboy needs a little TLC

Yes this is the second one I have cracked. This one surprised me though. I don't have nearly as many lid landings as I used to and I have strengthened my roll cage so that if I do have a lid landing the force should not reach the cooling head. Who knows why it cracked this time. I have already order...
