HPI Racing 3mm Engine Plate (Grey)

[HPI86080]

Does anyone know if this fits the x?  On amain when you click compatibility it just says xl.
In my teardown I found my current plate is cracked and would like to get a purple one but am having a hard time finding it.

I've heard that too. Maybe I'll give it a try.

Badboy needs a little TLC

Time for a little tlc after many years of abuse and me going through the nitro learning curve. Just thought I would post some before and after pictures. I plan on replacing all the bearings, rebuilding the diffs, obviously a good cleaning and probably some new dirt bonz. I love the badlands but like...

Re: Let's talk bearings

LL I am glad you said that. I was on amain today and was wondering how those bearings performed.

Re: Let's talk bearings

That makes sense. Clutch bearings lasting that long would be to good to be true.

Re: Let's talk bearings

I think I am going to look at the metal fast eddies again. Just being honest I don't think I would do the maintenance on bearings. With four boys and three of them playing football my time for RCs is somewhat limited. I do appreciate all this feedback, definitely helpful. SV250 when you were describ...

Let's talk bearings

My Savage has been neglected in the Bearing department. My Savage is about five years old and I am using the original wheelbearings with it.  I pulled them out the other day  to check them and they still seem pretty smooth. Obviously given the length of time they need to be replaced. They are metal ...

Re: XSS - V2.0 - NOVAROSSI / IRC

I had a flywheel loosen and back off a bit recently. I know I used locktite and tightened but it still happened. It's worth a look.

Re: XSS - V2.0 - NOVAROSSI / IRC

+1 on keeping it running while breaking in. There is less stress because your not starting over and over. The one thing I don't understand about heat cycle is after you let it cool you then Preheat before starting again. The mating occurs over time while the cylinder goes up and down. I don't  think...

Re: I wish they made a ------ body.

I forgot about this post. My little ones watch scooby doo every night and I think it would be cool to have a van body to make a mystery machine.  I would need some serious decals or something because that's above my skill level.

Re: Critique my racing team

Now that I think about it my son was complaining about the steering but I couldn't find anything wrong with it. With our front tires locking up that would explain what was wrong with our steering. That would also explain what brake bias is. I had heard the term but had not researched what it was. It...

Re: Critique my racing team

Thanks Squid. That seems like it's going to be incredibly helpful.  I'll definitely start implementing these suggestions as we can. It's to bad this track is two hours away so practice is difficult. There is a track 30 minutes from me be they are elec only. On the video I posted of the qualifier the...

Re: Nitro buggy racing question

MonosavageX You're right the mt was the highlight of the day. The other guys looked like they were afraid to scratch their bodies and my son was driving like he was trying to blow it up. Ironically he drives the savage better than the buggy. I guess it's because he has so much more time driving it. ...

Critique my racing team

http://youtu.be/XU2umtOnsYg This was from last weekend. It was the first qualifier and our second attempt at racing. We aren't placing very well and we are wrecking quite a bit but we are having fun. You will notice toward the end of the race we got a lean condition after a wreck. I had not taken th...

Nitro buggy racing question

Last week my sons and I went racing. After the first qualifier the buggy stalled because we ran out of fuel. There were two minutes of warm up and then the race. For the second qualifier we came in and topped off so we would t run out of fuel. At the end of the second qualifier I plugged the exhaust...

Garage door lube for cleaning and plastic reconditioning

I was watching some YouTube videos the other night and found something pretty interesting. It was a video about blaster garage door lube. The video was by squirrel. In his video he says that this product will clean your vehicle recondition the plastic and will leave a film that will repel dust and d...
