I would like to no if there is much of a difrence between the Hellfire SS and RTR. Besides being able to pick you own stuff, is the truck itself the same?

Well like I said before, I've got mine built, now I'm just waiting for the pipe to get here (bought Jammin JP3 HC) :D.
Anyway truck looks awsome. I think that parts finish and matching could be better, but it's nice anyway :P
More after runnig :P

i got the wing for mine, plan to thrash it at the bashfest tomorrow, it survived last year, just wondering how the wing will work out.

well, it survived another bashfest 8) what a huge difference the wing makes, still a bit nose heavy, but the wing really helps the balance alot.

now i just need to start tweaking the chassis when i get some time.

Well, I ran mine for a couple of times n the yard on the grass, and it goes really nice. I fliped only twice. The truck is very stable - I really like it :D.

i still need to work on mine, on power steering is non-existing on a track/dirt surface. on grass it's great though.

i need to re-do the diff's with oil, and start playing with the suspension settings to get it where i want it.

well as usual hpi uses the same cheap sticker glue glueing the same old pads that they use for everything. like savage brakes. savage slipper. nitro rush slipper. hellfire brakes. list goes on and on. now i got sick of dismantling my savage to change out the sticky pads on the twin disk setup. so i made up a new three disk combo with metal inlaid race car pads. well now my hellfire did the same. it just tore the icky sticky pads apart. so i made the same setup for the hellfire as i did the savage exept instead of going with more disks im switching to stronger throttle brake servo. stronger servo is needed cuzz these pads are a bit harder and do not give the same bite as the one hpi provides but they dont give in either they last for 10 times or more compared to hpi pads. so here are the pics. the last picture is of what you might know from your own hellfire. that is brakes all torn apart. Image Image Image Image Image Image well now ive put a few tanks through it. these brakes are so much better than stock. they started out very powerful but as they started to break in they got awesome. its pulling stoppies even on those big goliaths. and on stock servo no less. i am really impressed by these brakes and im really happy i spent the time to make them instead of buying again more of the crappy paper pads.

now i have stripped my first ring and pinion on my hellfire. so i did a little digging around for an upgrade. i got myself a couple of ring and pinion sets for lightning stadium. a shim kit for hellfire and aluminium gasket. then i added the savage aluminium cup. looks great. als since im running on goliaths that add about 25% higher gearing than stock tires the 43 teeth ring instead of the 42 teeth ring stock is an added bonus Image

a little update on my hellfire

it now has brushless setup mamba monster max v3 esc and neu 1515 1y motor running on 5s setup

it has the cen diff mod in the front and soon at the back as well

its sitting on goliaths and uses savage skidplates and bumpers

it now has got the savage wheelie bar and hellfire ss wingmounts both front and rear

then i added the all time super large hpi baja 5b rear wing

this thing is allot bigger than a savage now and can go places mt's can only dream about

still i love my savage :D
