I should have done at the beginning of this thread

Current setup... 52/14; Diff oil: 5k, 5k, 3k; Shocks: 45wt oil with stock springs... not a racer though... I will probably change the center diff to 7k though as I see this is the common setup.

OBTW... this engine is not too receptive of stinger deflectors... I would be about 1/2 tank and it would cut out... not sure why. Then all of a sudden the truck was running in the 260's - 280's and not cutting out...

Didn't notice right away but the deflector was "removed"... One of my friends found it and I put it back on and 1/2 tank it cut out. I took it off and all is good to go. Temps are averaging 270's, so things are running well...

Truggies don't have specific forums here, but consider this the SC's official Hyper ST post...

I like the way that truck looks.. Its nice... Glad to hear that motor is working fine for you...

I've said it once ill say it again as far as I'm concerned OFNA makes some of the best Truggies and Buggies out there for all out fun and bashing you cant go wrong.. Even for begging to race there good... Good job OFNA...

I have 2 Ofna's Currently a Ravager and a hyper 7.. I take them out and beat on them.. and i tell you they take everything that i throw at them.. I'm looking for a basher truggy currently and right now its between the Hyper ST and the Multilator... still havnt decided..

From everything I have read about the ST & the Mutilator, the difference is the ST reviews state it is a beginner racer / basher where the Mutilator is a basher. I have no experience with the Mutilator, but this ST is one tough SoG...

The last thing i need is another Racer.. I got plenty.. I'm leaning towards the Multilator for a few reasons.. 1) It has a .32 and im bashing so its all low end BABYYY... 2) I like the Name better... 3) I can put the Tazer mod and its gonna be tough as nail...

I dunno I shall see where the wind blows me... You know its harder for me to buy a basher then for me to buy a racer... I dunno why... I think i've been drinking too much... LOL

Hey, now that I've heard this might be a good bash-truggy contender, do you think this is a truck you can launch of ramps and treat kind of like a Savage?? I mean, big air, etc.. Is this an ideal truggy for bashing Savage-style??

(Background in case you don't know - I have an Axial 28RR in my HB Lightning GT, which is falling apart, and want a solid, tough truggy to put it in for strictly bashing duties...)

TBH with ya... IMO no truggy is a Savage style basher... they're just not made like a Savage... but this is a pretty tough truck I will tell you that.

I have had a few 10-15 footers and landed tail down and no damage yet... knock on wood. I've even nosed it in too, but that wasn't as severe as the tail dives...

OBTW... I should receive my new Ax 28 rr in about a week. I can not wait! The Mac Star is a tough engine too... especially as it start to break in...

The Mac Star runs great with a JP1... BUT it has WAY TOO MUCH low end, so I would recommend using pipes that are designed for the Med-High end....

I have read a lot of posts that say running a 13T CB produces the best performance...

Suggested upgrades: Replacing the steering assembly spacers with bearings...

Optional Upgrades: Hyper 7/8 Hubs and Knuckles

Well it's a been a little bit, but got me some nice upgrades to my beast... Dropped in the Ax 28 rr and a JP3.... All I can say is SMOK'N!!! Who's up for a drag race LOL!!!

Anyway, I have put a quart through the engine and run it in the 230's... I got it into the 250s once and the thing acted like I had a second gear once I hit the power band.

I will drop some pics as soon as I get back home... I forgot the cable to transfer pics from my cam... ooops :?
