Just for sxxx's and giggles, what would be the highest screaming, Axial 28RR-topping, stupendously fast .28 engine to get for 200 bones or less??

Don't want to discuss(or argue..) it, but besides STS..

Thanks, but really don't want to buy a starter-box - at least just yet.. This truggy thing is still experimental.. Don't even know what one costs..

Found out that this RC club here FINALLY wants to build an offroad track(after years of b.itching and moaning about getting dust on the on-road track which has been there forever..) Maybe there's hope after all....

Just saw the Jammin JPX 28 at Tower costs 290 bucks...

Think I'd buy an LRP Spec 3 - €170, and here in Germany..

The Mug is simply too slow with Axial 28RR, so I'm gonna build in my new LRP Spec 3 as soon as I get the chance. Kind of hesitant cuz the Axial at least DOES start, idle, tune, and run perfectly.. But the top end, even with a 13T CB, just isn't there...

If the Spec 3 wakes it up like I hope it does, I may look into the new Innovative-RC Muggy chassis, and make this thing into the ultimate bashing truggy... Coming from MT's it really is a nice ride.. I know it's not a top-line race truggy, and some say they're(they = Mugen, CRT, 8T, etc..) better and all, but I'm sure there are some situations where a little extra bulk and weight are good... With a fat engine in here and maybe some better tires, there may be better race truggies out there, but they wouldn't want to run into me.......[/i]

Got the LRP broken in...

Anybody else bashing one of these things?? I dig it - flies FANTASTICALLY... - compared to a Sav anyway.. Love the way it balances itself out in mid-launch... Freakin' cat-like - but still burly.. Good 11lbs.+..

Man the LRP woke it up eh? Almost makes me want to try mine out & get a new engine for my race Savage then use the stock Losi engine for a beater or something?

The LRP is an animal after the first 3/4 gallon or so, just insane.Mod it and then you will see something to truly be afraid of

I'm kinda worried about the clutch at the mo.. Doesn't seem to be biting as hard as I'd like.. Also, did you notice the whistling in the vid?? I bet a bearing is shot...

Anyway, yes, the LRP definitely woke the Mugger up compared to that turd Axial RR..(which BTW is currently in my Sav and running nicely.. - with 3 gears..) With the Axial I would pretty much run the whole tank at WOT, pressing the trigger harder and harder into the radio body.. With the LRP WOT is still a tad beyond my comfort zone.. %90 is still a handfull..., which is exactly what I was looking for..

After this, I guess it'll be Nova-time...(if I win the lottery...)

So yeah, so far so great with the LRP..

I ran a 3 shoe aluminum clutch in my buggy, albeit with a super tall gearing, 18/46, I took it straight out of the Sav, changed the mounts, and slapped it in the buggy.

Try some Nova shoes with no weight and some 1.0MM springs.

Hmm.. Well, the Muggy is notorious for having clutch problems.. I started the LRP with brand new Dynamite Max-life shoes, which are supposed to eliminate clutch issues.. I had a Fioroni clutch on the Axial, which WAS awesome.. So maybe I'll go back to that..

I hate messing with clutches though...

And IMHO meshing a Muggy is 10x as bad as a Savage....

Go to the Foroni, it should hold up to the LRP.
