Official Jammin X1CRT Truggy thread

Post by Purenitro » Wed Jul 18, 2007 8:12 pm

After a few weeks of beating my new crt, I have to say that it is one tuff truck! I have done a couple of things to it that I'm not proud of, but it took it like a champ. I kind of feel sorry for my savage as it has taken the side lines for the last few weeks, but this truggy is too much fun to drive, like an offroad Ferarri lol. Any body els running one?

LOL, that vid reminds me of, part of what I was not so proud about :? It is a little dirty but the pics come from my web cam and they are not that great. The savage DOES stare at me, all sad looking lol, poor savage. I'm joining the local rc club, and hope to spend some time at the track, Stupid job. This is a little vid that I found of the track, it's fenced and locked and it is well looked after. Although I built it from the kit, any other tips to tweek it are great.

Has anyone used the jp-3 pipe? When I tried to start to lean out the 4.6 it wanted to run a little hotter than I wanted, and I was sure it was the sts 702 pipe causing the problems due to the tiny stinger. I went to the lhs and all they had was a jp-3, so I bought it and installed it. What a difference, temps went way down, I was able to lean the engine more and it was pulling and holding the front end up off any little bump :D Not a chance it would do that with the 702. I was running on wet sandy clay and it would hit hard and pull right up to a nice rpm, it's still not race tuned (need new bearings before i do that  ) but it would outrun the sts .30 I'm sure of it. just wondering what others have seen with the different pipes, jp-2, jp-3 086 etc or if you have run both and can make a comparison. I'm sure there is a "better" pipe but which one?

Here's my CRT Pro, the engines a little lacking right now cuz i blew the conrod on my picco and the savvy bb21 i got is dead as well. soooo force 26 from my violator it is!! I had to "mod" and make my own body posts to fit the Parma body on. I got it as a raffle prize at this years Bashfest.

Image

^ My "trophie" from the bashfest this year  it stays on the front, where i can gleam about it! the scratch down the side is from my truck flipping today while i was tuning and tweaking it while running up and down the street hahaha i swear that tree was not there before  it slid about 8 feet down the road. "christening" my fresh body haha
