I used 12mm....I'm thinking about making a white one..also just for different look, that would probably go on a street looking SAVVY and have a more streamline shape.

The Revo is not as bad as everyone says it is...I saw the vid of it hitting the tree squarely...I was thinking of getting on of them as well.

A cage that looks like and ARIEL ATOM on a street savage would be the best. Have i mentioned that i love seeing the bare frame and working of stuf? :P

Hahaha........... their sweet trucks! Also saw that vid.

I have also concidered getting one to keep my savvy company but i would gat a roller. The TRX 3.3 engine is worth nothing! Doesn't last that long and can't keep a tune.
RPM arms for them are a sure must, my friens has gone through 3 sets already (1 was due to havving a runaway). Also, guess what, they also have the HTL problem, they call it something like left turn lean! Guess you should only make right turn then

Now now 5avag3, let's not turn this into a flame fest, OK? My screen name comes from something you may never understand...All, I was saying is that it's just weird to name a part of your truck...I'm sure alot of the guys here were thinking it, I'm just the one who had the balls to say it I guess...

Yep, I think 5avage3 built an awesome cage...no doubt about it...it's just the whole naming it...just weird, that's all..The cage itself is awesome though, seriously..no doubt about that!!

OK maggots......I'm officially declaring PEACE from now.....I just wish you all could have read my original post.....

Mr Snuggles...I still hear you giggling in the corner man, wipe that smile off your face.... :)
Shinobid...I just believe that everything that is loved, deserves a name.
Shinobi comes from Japanese word nin meaning Blade and heart..which is kinda mystical, cool and philosophical..but as I remember it...as a Ninja computer game on the sega master system. I would of named myself something modern, like...Metal Gear Solid. Actually would of been a sick name for a cage...

The Ariel Atom look: That would be the savage, I would put low profile tires on.

Some bare metal feast for Pluh: If I had a choice, the Jeep wrangler would look like one of these, the mrs..disagrees.

The bash session went good but not great. Not sure if it was the cold ,but I broke two upper a arms one carrier two jato shocks (the front) and four zip ties. The cage held up great. Just scraches. The back shocks of the cage held up quite well while the front not so good. To much flex side to side and that keeped popping the shocks out of the lower brackets. They broke off by the end( the shocks).
Once they were gone the zip ties broke as they were the only thing holding the cage on in the front.
With just lite bashing the cage would hold up well. I does protect everything between the front and rear shock tower very well. No damage at all. The down side. With hard bashing it didn't last as long as I'd wished. But I'll be back !!!!
I did learn alot and figure that I should be able to fix the problems.

Unlucky zooman.....keep working at it bro, you'll make it better every time you do.

Here is the IMU80 now...just waiting in some custom camouflage spring socks for the bigbores and stock suspensions, then shell be 100% complete....I also worked out how to make it extra absorbing, by putting heavy duty heat-shrink sleeves over the rods, at the moment I have some rubber garden water pump hose over them for protection and extra absorbing capabilities but also give that beefier look.
I decided to relocate the header tank away from the back where it gets hammered and higher than the carburetor where it's supposed to be.

Come on Pluh......when is that cage gonna be finished...?

Here is the recent photo of mine.....lowering the gear ratios and smaller lighter wheels. I've put the thing on diet so I can make a better bash vid with higher jumps and demonstr8 the true capabilties of the cage and the new front bumper bar.

Self designed, the rear ones are copy of the design somewhere here, I made the front once like them, a little bit different from the rest.... :D It serves as a lower arm protector as well, it's .40 music wire pretty tuff stuff.

I really dont know when the cage will be finished any more :x

I recently got stiffed on a ebay deal, i bought some lst's but the seller sent me the wrong parcel and now there is no word from him. I've already got the mounts but i need the shocks so that i can figure out a way to route some rods through there to protect the mounts and shocks in a landing on the front shock tower, these shocks and mounting kit is just to expensive to be damaged in the first botched landing.

Guesse i'll have to fork out more cash and get some other shocks from another seller. DAM

Dont worry though, the cage will be finished although exams may hinder the progress a bit.

BTW, i cant see no photo! :?
