my first was the savage x 4.6. I know I started late in this hobby. I could only imagine what I would have if I would of started 10 years ago when I was 19.

My first RC car was

1: Tamiya Rough Rider

2 & 3: I had 2 other cars at the same time but i carnt for the life of me remember what they were called, One was a blue sand rail type thing that had a driver wearing a cowboy hat and the other was a cheater i think they were both tamiya but im not sure.
Anyone remember them?

4: Kyosho

The grasshopper was my first rc. It was a great first car.
Second was the blackfoot. Frog, TA03F, Clod buster.
Then a huge break. Jato first nitro, warhead, envader, and now the best of all
SAVAGE XL

I don't count radio shack cars/trucks as RC's but hey they where fun to. Kind of like renting an RC for the hour if it lasted that long..IMO
They did teach me how to take things apart at a young age.

If you can't get replacement parts, it ant RC.....

My first RC all it had was backwards and forwards and steering controlled by backing up and then the wheels only turned one way. Had to be in the mid to late 70s. In the early 70s I had a Cox dum buggy but there was no radio to it you just turned the wheels and let it go.  My first nitro I got back in the mid 60s and was a tether car. Yes I am as old as dirt or all most.
