How long has HPI been around ?? and what was some of there first stuff ?? Vintage stuff is awsome. lol wouldn't mind bashing with some vintage HPI

hpi dosnt have much vintage really, i have a rs4 mt which is th electric version and is like 7 years old? lol and i had a rs4 racer and racer 2 which were like 5 or 6 years old... other then that idk what was older then those from hpi....
Savage 4.6SS: Making it a HPIed out basher/racer, featuring 3 speed, reverse, and LCG, all HPI products, with the exception of RPM A-Arms! Pluple black and white, should be one sweet truck, stayed tuned!

How old is HPI any way??

They started out making hop up parts for other vehicles. They made some money and decided to get some great people on board who could design their own vehicles. I am not sure of the company's age. Was the Savage 21 their first truck?

HPI started by a japanese guy in So Cal in 1986. they first sold electric motors. gain tons of recognition for later hop-ups and then released their first cars the rs4 in 1995. Savage 21 in 2002

I still have the first RS4 that came out. Still like new because I never use it. I think I bought it around 95.

wow maybe it was that long ago i bought a rs4, i got it after it was out for a year or so lol but i reciently sold all my vehicles but my rs4 mt electric... which is mint lol :lol:

yep i have an electric rs4 from 1996 or '97. i built it back up about a month ago and i use it for drifting. :D

They also had a nitro mini rs4 with a .12 size engine.

one of there first nitros was the mt my neighbors got one for 95 it was there first nitro still running strong original motor has more than 13 gallons threw it
