Tamiya Boomerang and Blackfoot

Post by SavagePicco » Sat Sep 20, 2003 12:02 am

First RC was a Blackfoot and then came the Boomerang.
Not sure if the Boomerang was released under the same name in the U.S.
Anyone know?
It's a 1/10 4x4 shaft driven buggy and was pretty quick but I think the Blackfoot used to ping it for top speed.
The Boomerang claimed my mates dads big toe nail.
He drove it into his foot at full rip and his toe nail got caught on something underneath the car.
hehehehe

Here is all that is left of the Blackfoot after it was used to build the Air-Buggy.

I've got a Boomerang sitting in my basement. It didn't see much action after I got a Turbo Optima

i loved how when u hit something with the boomerang, the front bumper would break off, and if u did as real good hit the tranny case would snap off at the upper arm....

I had the supershot which was and upgrade to the boomerang. I really liked that buggy. It was really good with a faster engine in it.

My first "real" rc car was a boomerang, then I got a RC-10 and never touched the
boomerang again and sold it to a freind who replaced all the broken parts and
restored it to good as new, kind of wished that I had kept it and done that.

My first RC was a Tamiya Hawk. I wish I still had it. It just disappearded from the house one day. lol :(
I never touched RC's again till the savage SS (.25) came out and I had to have it.
Then about a year ago I got my hands on a blackfoot, needs reapir but about 2 weeks ago I found another blackfoot and snatched it. The 2 put together will make one with loads of spare parts. :)

Hehehe, I had a Blackfoot, an original Blackfoot  Had to put every screw, nut and bolt in it when I was like 6.  I remember it being one bad mama-jamma.  But I was also 6  Then my neighbor bought one one and we had day after day after day of just running and charging running and charging.  hehe
