Jmai22 yeah that hobby people sale is at all the stores...so just go to the one in orange since that would be closer to you....they also have sh .28 engines for 99 bucks...I actually won a race once with one of those little screamers
Also the parts list looks good. The lunsfords are a good investment and very high quality. I figured something must have come up today...no biggie
But you were right to go home...it was so cold my fingers were having a hard time steering the buggy!
have a nice trip and TTYL
Also what tvp's did you order from?
I'll check on that website i gave ya...:( sorry!!

Well, I just found out tonight that because of that d a m n heavy return spring of HPI's, my throttle was only opening about half-way. Fixed it, but have not run it yet. If it's not raining tomorrow I'm going to try it out. If it was that fast on helf throttle, it's REALLY gonna scream at full!

Oh, just bought a DX3 radio with 2 receivers tonight. Gonna buy an OFNA buggy later this week, be nice to have the one radio for the two cars.

Richard right? I read your thread on the STS .30. Let me know how it goes. I'm still not sure which engine to go with. Since the STS is getting so much praise at 1/2 the price... Thanks.

UUGGGHHHH!! I have been moving all my g/f crap to our new place since saturday! Thank god that's finished. Next month i gotta move all my crap and that will just be pure joy
Anyways Old_Dude....yeah i had the same problem with that stupid return spring. I bought a stronger throttle servo and the problem disappeared
Or you could just take the spring off.....

Yea, I just took it off. The servo's strong enough to hold the carb closed, just not strong enough to open against that spring. Yet it worked fine with the HPI engine, I checked. I just assumed it was opening all the way with the STS too. Now the performance is more like that Savage that was at the track. Still running hot. I gotta get me a infrared temp gauge so I can check if that venom is lying to me or not.

Old_Dude I am willing to bet that venom is reading too hot. Mine was....but on the other hand as long as there is a good smoke trail everything should be ok...do the double check and see

Well, I got the T-Rex sold. Ordered the Hyper 8 kit from Tower Hobbies. It's in stock at their Reno warehouse, so I should have it Tuesday or Wednesday. AND, (you're gonna hate me for this Corey) I bought the Spektrum telemetry kit. I checked a lot of hobbie shops and they were all selling it at $189.00. Found it on ebay for $129.00. I'll be putting the Mach 427 in the Hyper 8, so next time we all get together I'll have a buggy and a Savage, too.

Hey John! I'm finally getting that STS engine set right. It's a screamer. As much as I like OS engines, I'd pick it over the OS .30 for the Savage.

Yessss!
Checked the tracking number at UPS and the Hyper 8 is "Out For Delivery".

A guy at work just bought a Cen Genesis truck, That sucker is BIG! Actual wheelbase is about 1" longer and wider than the Savage, but it's got really BIG tires on it so it looks like it's more. Engine, I think is a .76, 5 hp clamed. He wants me to help him break it in tonight. Overall it looks very cleanly engineered, except for some hard plastic parts I'd rather see made out of some softer stuff. Like the bumpers, I can see them breaking on an impact instead of bouncing like the Savage does. Comes from the factory with a 3-speed tranny with reverse. Dual disk brake setup like a buggy. Not bad, although I think I prefer the Savage. I'm going to go out to Oakley Sat. to get some time on the track before they make it into a parking lot. I'll be there around 9:00 am. If any of you can make it, come on out.

Old_Dude you're a B**ch for getting that spektrum setup!!...lol
Yeah the genesis is big and it has a .46 motor but you will soon see the build quality...doesn't compare to the savage

Well, it IS a .76. And after burning through the first tank of fuel here tonight I gotta tell you it's tranny and running gear rattles so much it's sounds like a bunch of nails in a jar.
I'm betting it won't be near as fast as my Savage. It's a big engine, and I'm sure it has a lot of torque, but no way will it rev anyway near what mine can do. I think the guy will have nothing but trouble with it once it's broken in and running right.

Lovin my Savage a little more right now.
