Savage Ride Height and Truggy Wing

Post by njdread » Wed Jan 15, 2014 2:39 pm

This may be a stupid question, and no I'm not a noob lol I've just been out the r/c game for a few yrs. And now that I'm back in it, the hop ups and mods for Savages have went thru the roof. My question today is, what's the easiest way to get my Savage ride height down so the arms are level with the chassis and dogbones. And also how do u guys mount the Truggy spoilers onto the Savage for racing ???? Thanks in advance

put some fuel line on the shock shafts inside the shocks to lower the truck.  dunno about wings, im not a truggy guy or a racer

I'm not really understanding how fuel line inside of the shock body will lower the ride height ????

shock wont extend as far, thus lowering your ride height

you can just remove the preload spacers,,,that would lower the truck..
as for the wing,,,PRC makes a bolt on mount,,then you buy the actually wing and wing mount/brace.

Heres my set up. The wing is mounted to a peice of plastic that bolted to the shock tower.
To get the stands down. I used cen nemesis shocks.

Here's mine

I have found that putting fuel tubing inside the shock tube on the shaft won't last long. It kinds folds up on itself. You can source out some hellfire or CEN gst shock shafts and that would work as they are shorter than stock.

i can help you with the ride height with a cheap solution i ve found..
http://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/87058
you ll put these spacers inside your suspension shaft..they last much more than the fuel line.(i used to have fuel line but i took it out in pieces!,not a good choice)
these spacers will give you accurate height in all 4 wheels.
about the wing IMO i dont think you really need it..only for good looking.
i hope i helped!
