Savage XL Brakes (Screws)

Post by JmaesV » Wed Oct 14, 2015 4:28 am

Anybody have problems with the 2 screws that hold the brake calipers always getting loose against the transmission cover? Appreciate any suggestions to fix this problem. I'm hesitate to put super glue for now.

Use the super glue, it will keep them from coming out. Your problem will be solved after that

X2

I find the brakes being too strong can push them out so I have the brakes set to slow the truck without locking up. Then with the addition of some glue they are in place and don't move. The alloy tranny case is a bonus here as it has hex screws going into alluminum with some LT its solid.
