Back after 7 years..... Savages make noise

Post by NiteRida » Thu Dec 31, 2015 11:14 pm

Well, my son and I pulled the savages out again after not touching them for 7 years.  Bought new hump packs, roto start battery, new batteries for the remotes and fuel.  I should have bought air filters.  However, they fired right up.  We are taking them to a track on Saturday (1/2/16) that is at a Motocross park 20 miles from our house.

It was fun pulling all this stuff out again.  I realized we have WAY TOO much stuff.  I have 3 X's that run, 2 rollers and enough spare parts to build 3 rollers.  I was a spare part buying machine BITD.

Some random pics from today.  The last being the 2 Savages that we plan on absolutely putting through the paces.

A link to my son driving one when he was 5.  He's now 14..... time flies....  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7CubblvYDw

Nice looking trucks. I have 3 savages and I'm building a 4th. Out of 12 rc's I always go back to my first savage from 13 years ago.
I can not be convinced that they aren't the best monster truck on the market.

Nice write up mate. I couldn't agree more... They fly like they have wings and are as tough as they come. The fact they fired straight up after 7 years is a great story! I had a similar experience with my RC's (about 8 years between runs) and was surprised when I got them running after so long (k4.6 and the old S25 mill) ... Enjoy mate - having that BMX track so close is gold!!!

Nice  track ..  I wish they would build something like that here in the NL.
Not just fake grass but sand and dirt like that..
