Not to toot my horn to loudly, but I created a site with step by step painting very similar to this to help everyone out. No blasting banners all over the place, just trying to share what I know and show pics to explain it. Check out my WWW link.

Look really good. You know what i find the hardest part about doing a good paint job is? Convincing my self to actually put it on the truck and drive, just feels like a waste :?

You know what's funny? I have bashed almost half of the paint off the inside of this body, but the body is still in good shape.

I've tried painting bodies before, but only had the confidence to try one color. After reading this, I think I can try something a little more interesting. Thanks!

Sorry dudes, no Savage, just a R40

But *censored*, it's about the paint job. I tried the ripped paint, and it turned out very well i think. This is the only pic i have at this moment, but it shows the job nicely. :)

Oh and hey, it's for sale. I'm bored with onroad stuff 8)

1 ? on this do you paint inside 1 color and outside another??? if so how do you mask for a 3rd color
1. Savage X - LRP .28, Dirt Bonez, offset Maximizer 1730's, Big Daddy fuel filter, Hpi polished pipe, Wheelie bar

2. Savage X - F4.6 RTR- Stock, Ribbed pipe

NOOOO
Its all don iside you mask off the first color pain the first color then mask off the second color and just paint over the second color. Remember your painting backwards

True. You paint in layers starting with the darkest color and working your way to the lightest color.
