Powder coating aluminum parts

Post by realsickclown » Sat Feb 23, 2013 7:23 am

Ive been thinking about powder coating some of my aluminum parts TVP, motor mount, header&pipe has any body ever tried this before? My only concern is the increased thinkness of the parts after the coating. So at the moment it's a thought but I'm not thinking it is going to work thus everthing is annodized.  I can probably do the pipe and motor mount and the header. I guess i can use some old TVPS and try to keep the material thin and see if will jive before destroying any parts in use

I powder coated a bunch of savage parts, very durable but you need to tape off areas where two pieces fit together.
