It looks like you modded the rear skid? Kinda hard to see in the pic. The flm plate is lighter than the stock radio box? Whats your battery and rx in?

as far as plate verse empty box the plate wirh 1 cross brace is half the weight and the steering servo mounted in plate the throttle has to have side mounts and the battery , hump back is Velcro'd in and the tx is still on the switch plate just modded to fit between the servos, i might make a cf lid but not sure i need it due to the fact im not jumping or bashing well i hope not LOL

What about the rear skid? I was planning a similar set up using a prc servo plate but it was one of the parts I waited a year for and gave up on. The prc plate is the exact same just made from cf. I might try to cut one from this but it is pricy or I might mount everything with no plate at all, just mount everything to the chassis some how.

Image this tank is more than half the weight and will hold less fuel weight , which is fine dont need allot of fuel to do a pass or two .

I was thinking of cutting the center out the lower arms too. Pretty extreme what you did drilling all the holes but it should hold up for speed passes. What you got going on with your skids?

What kind of head is on your picco? What fuel tank is that?

Yes Nitronly i think the Swiss cheese affect will save weight and be strong enough for speed runs ,,,, as far as the skids i removed all the bumper parts even the braces and heated the front lower near the bottom with torch so it would bend back into the diff bulk head and screwed it then heated some more so it would not have any tension on the screws worked great and it holds the upper and lower a-arm pins in ,,, i dont plan on hitting anything so no need for a bumper ,,,,,,,,,

It saves weight and looks nicer than just cutting them off. Probably more aerodynamic too. Whats up with the cooling head on your picco? Did you cut a couple fins off?

Its like LL kool did ,take a f-4.6 head and cut it down and save the stock picco head it fits right on the picco ,,,,,,cuz you save weight and your not going to run for 15 min so you do not need all that cooling ,,i cut 6 fins off and stripped the purple off then painted it with bbq black paint , i plan on a pass on two then let it cool down .
