I have no idea, but it should be equally as fast or faster than my other savage. This one will require some messing around with different gear ratios tho

+1 on the octane tranny. Very curious to see what's different and how compatible it is. Also if any modding was required to make it fit.
I am perfectly happy with my BP modded 3 speed but if your going to use it here there must be something you see in it.

It's not as easy as buying octane plates a tranny and putting a nitro motor on. But I figured it out but who's willing to drop $90 on the tranny to find out lol. Both trannies are setup similar but 2nd gear is like the 3gear meaning you can tune both now instead of just the 3rd without tearing things apart.

Don't worry I do plan to share everything

I'm moving soon so things will just have to wait  :(

Btw Steve, I'm not going to play the stock or modified game, I'm just running my savage it's as simple as that.

Finally got a charger for Garmin but been busy with more important things ,,,, but yes 8 port is ready and showing good testing ,,tried it out on .909 gear set up n had no issue pulling them but had no garmin and had brake issues that day so I stopped testing for another day but all fixed and ready to go out when time allows ,,,, not gave up yet .

I'm not sure he does anymore, he hasn't posted a single video of it with his new super 8 port.

Hes ran it, he told me hes pulled into the mid 60's with it. Now hes claiming to pull over 1:1 gearing, which is not impossible I did it with my 8 gallon torque picco

Ah...do you guys team up? Who is the record holder (for nitro Savage top speed) , and are their folks chasing it? What are the qualifications? No--I'm not interested in doing speed runs--but do find it interesting that there are records out there with it. I've read about it a bit from afar but never paid too much attention to it. It would be pretty cool if there were like 10 guys chasing the record.

There's just these two. They don't run together. They're rivals.

I have the fastest savage(s) nitro and brushless. There are many in fact that do the top speed stuff with the savage. Their on FB and YouTube. One guy I know just pulled off 89mph in his flux, on 8s, you can hit 100 on 6s, I have. There are a few on FB that are building top speed savages behind the scenes. It's not just Steve and I that run them. If anyone wants to learn how to setup their truck to do it just ask, I've got three big threads on how to go fast

Fastest nitro savage 74.9mph

Fastest Savage Flux 113mph

Warning here comes my ego, lol, I was the first to pull into the 70's on a single engine setup and the first to break 100mph with the platform. The biggest issue is getting them to drive straight lol. It's a brick lol

I see a few guys that throw some street tires on and some tall gearing to see how fast they can go. Everyone has done that.

The key word you mentioned is platform. When int is super streatched and lowered with as many truggy and hand fabbed parts as savage parts , 2wd etc. thats a different deal all together. I dont see any other trucks including steves that have been converted for lack of a better term to a permanent street truck for speed runs exclusively.
