That is one sweet truck, but all that I'm worried is those 2 engine cooling sinks looks vulnerable to hard crashes....like the old fuel tank problem...
but all in all....SUPERB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*censored* CHRIST! that looks bloody awesome!!! i cant really see any actual advantage of having two engines, other than being able to say you did it... but it looks sweet, and you seem to be pretty good with a tool box :D
but i would add a fair bit of weight up front, mabye move a tank or both up the front end, would help the front end stay planted when you need it

THAT IS THE MOST VIOLENT EXCELLERATION IVE EVER SEEN!!!!

holy moly, cool, awsome. makes my collari .32 look slow.

hey, have you put a three speed in it yet, it would make a lower geared firs gear, and a higer gear in 3rd, which=more top speed.(not that you need it)

next is a 3 engine savage, 3 528 8ports!!

Hello my friends, thank you all for the comments and feedback.

After being inactive for much of the last 2 years it's high time I got back to work on this thing.
Actually,I have not been completely inactive.I have Frankenstien'd the LX Pro, and now have an SS 4.6 that is almost complete.

I thought it would be interesting and more importantly fun to temporarily set up the twin truck for onroad duty and see how the truck performs.
Well, that has been the plan for about 2 yrs. Now it's time to make it happen!

At first i was just going to slap on road rages, toss a spool in,lower the thing, then give it heck, but that's not enough.
I want to lower the center of gravity, get the body down low as possible, and I really need to come up with a roll cage to protect the cyl heads.
So these issues alone should keep me thinking and tinkering, and possibly generate a new mod or two along the way.

I do have a few things worked out at this time:
A new fuel tank setup: A pair of Mugen Prospec tanks (125cc) fit nicely between the TVPs,no more tanks mounted above the radio box, hooray!
Radio gear relo: Duratrax radio box (Rec.,Batt,Switch) servo placement still to be worked out.
Tires, wheels, drive hub: 40 series Road Rage,Duratrax wheels and hubs, ready to go.
Spooled Diff: Vertigo Perf spool in a GPM gearbox, built and ready to go.
Modified 44 Tooth spur: in steel and plastic, ready to go.
Engine mount: new mount shortened by 1/4 in.

TVPs and rollcage are undecided at this time.

I will get a few pics up a little later.

Please keep in mind that this will not be an over night transformation, and updates will most likely be infrequent, but this thread will live again.heh heh

40 series Road Rage mounted on Thunder Quake wheels
                            Image
To help prevent ballooning the tires have been fishing line'd.
I have heard this suggested before and wanted to try it since taping the inside of the tires does not appeal to me.
80 lb Spiderwire is wrapped 5 times and tied off just snug around each of the two center grooves.
                                Image
19mm drive hubs are also from the Thunder Quake
They are modified in much the same way as the Ofna 17mm hubs.
                                    Image
Modified Hot Bodies 44 tooth steel spur
                                        ImageImage
Please Note:the radio box pics are from the SS 4.6
The radio box will be from a Duratrax Firehammer
Switch, batt, and reciever fit nicely inside and mounts with the two upper shock tower screws.

Hey Moldy nice to see you back in action, the battery box you used fits nice and looks stock. The fishing line is a great , tell us how she does. Since you have been gone hpi has updated there tranny to HD pawl which might interest you and also the 3 speed, you might know this already but i figured just in case you didnt. There a some other guys doing some nice mods,Twisted toyz has a plastic cage that he sells, might work for you. Looking foward to seeing you creation around again ,Peace
