I have decided to start my first build.  I do not have a lot of experience in RC but have really enjoyed having a savage and would now like another one.  When my six year old was three or four he would often tell me that his older brothers were "babboys" and that is how I came up with my savage central name.
A few months ago I was joking around with my sons that I would build a pink savage for my wife but make it faster than my first savage so that my wife would beat them in a race.  My wife thought that was a good idea and has started to enjoy driving the savage on occasion so I decided to build a savage that she would like to drive.
It will probablly take me a while to build it and I am sure there willl be some changes along the way but here goes.

I am going to start with the stock TVPs.  They have served me well and until they fail me I see no need to change.  I have sanded them and painted them black with a rustoleum paint.  The X is obvioulsly painted pink.
29/9 bullet proof diffs with flux diff cups.
Flux dog bones and flux axles.
Flux bulkheads.
HD center dog bones and cups.
Integy HD rear tie rod eliminators
Integy HD hubs and steering knuckles
Bashcat braces
Lst2 shocks with IRC mounting kit.
I am probablly going to go with maximizer beadlocks even though I really like the looks of the RPM revolvers but just cant buy them based on all the complaints of cracks.
Tires will either be dirt bonz or a set of 3.2 badlands I just purchased
engine will be Picco .28. I havent decided if I will have the ERCM mod but I probablly will.
ERCM endbleed pipe.  I just put an ERCM side bleed on my basher but decided to try the end bleed for this build
I will be using the jeep rubicon body on this build and it is 95% complete but will not post it until the end.
suggestions are welcome

Here is what I have so far.

Looking good!  Since it's for your wife... Have you thought about anodizing all the aluminum in pink with Rit dye?

I thought you could only dye plastic.  I had no idea you could dye aluminum with rit dye.  That will add quite a few possibilities.

Holy... O_O

You can dye aluminium? That's pretty darn odd.

Those TVPs look absolutely stunning. Very nice indeed, keep it up brother!

Remember that HPI TVPs are painted or powdercoated. The dye can easily absorb into that.

Nice idea Clouseau.  I researched anodizing aluminum and I just did not feel like dealing with all that acid etc.   I found a company online (gruntbull.com) that will anodize small parts almost any color and I chose to use them.  I sent them four bushings from the lst shocks and I bought a picco cooling head to be anodized as well.  I am waiting for the parts now and can't wait to see them.  I know I could have chosen to have many more parts anodized but I don't want there to be too much pink.  Plus if she never drives it I want it to be easy to change the color scheme.
I probably should have tried dying them with the rit dye.   I do not know if that would have worked or not.

I received some parts that I had sent off to be anodized today.  I know I could have sent a lot of other things off to be anodized but I did not want to over do it with the pink.  It looks pretty cool but the cooling head does not look as metallic as I would have liked but I think it will work.  Anyways here is a before and after.  I sure hope she drives with me because there is a lot of time money and work into building one of these from parts.

Very nice!

Im about to do the OS30 head in black anodize freshness, however the OS30 doesnt have a button, the head is all in one, will I run into problem if I anodize it or do I need to treat the burn room so that it is not anodized, if I can?

I have received my IRC LST shock mounting kit and mounted the LSTs.  I am using the plastic aftershocks because of cost.  If they hold up well and I like them I may upgrade to the aluminum caps and bodies. I am pretty sure I will like them though the suspension feels like its going to handle well.  I have ordered all of the remaining items to finish this build and some of it arrived today so I thought I would post a few more pictures.  ERCM has my Picco .28 and I placed an order with him today for an end bleed.  I am looking forward to driving this thing ,  just wish I didnt have to wait more than a gallon to see what this thing will do.
