Nice video!
how does the LST/GST idea work?
is the CD OK? I know it has quite a thick oil, but I bet it is not too thick for the 2028 :D

Well the LST/GST setup appears to be working fine. I've inspected all the modded areas of the truck after each run and they all appear to be fine. I couple of things I have noticed is around the sleeves I put over the output cups on the bulk head to centre drive shafts have worn/line marks on them for some reason which I can't figure out (maybe just stones that got lodged in there rubbing on them). The other thing is the drag link bolts keep loosening off so need hold them in place with glue act like thread lock. Centre appear fine with a little bit of oil leaking from the seals which could be heat related.

You can see I flipped the truck a couple of times and none of the part I 3D printed broke or separated from their connections. More testing to follow.

that was just a mere rhetoric question, since it is my idea and everything I come up with is bound to work flawlessly 8)
Good to hear it works !
what are your possibilities with the center diff now? permanent overheating will almost certainly cause problems...  is there any oil that is thicker than what you have now?  like plasticine or so...

Yeah I can go and use some heavier weight in the centre diff like 2 million. Currently 1 million is used in the centre because that is all that is available to me. Would still like to have some type of shock suppression with a CD.

your diffs are bulletproofed as much as they can be, so there is no need to worry about using insanely heavy CD oils. If the CD was hot, it means only one thing- it spins excessively with the current oil ( of course there is a whole bunch of other reasons, but in your case is the culprit clear )

At the moment I don't have access to a heavier oil so it will have to do for now until I find a shop that can sell me the right stuff to NZ.

Thanks and I'm glad you liked the thread.

Plenty of people have shared their input into the truck to get it to where it is today 8)

Funds are limited so most things I wish to do are on hold for awhile but will continue to test it more and more.

I posted the weight back on page 16. Weight is 9.2kg without the body. I use 4s 8000Mah batteries when I put it on the scales.

Coolly, it is inspired by your project, similar I collect. How you think a roolCage from the Kraken will rise on fastenings? Maybe you have friends who tried it to establish?

I think it is very possible that the Kraken Class 1 TSK will fit to these large conversions as long as you are using all the Super 5SC parts. Any Baja 5SC body can attach to the Super 5SC so I see no reason why the roll cage can't be fitted.

Was thinking about getting one but they are not cheap.

There is more budgetary option, http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-assemble- ... 1470907314? pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a8cd587b2 not the Kraken certainly but if to use it as a template for creation individual rollcage, will be very much even anything.

Some modding does have to be done to fit that model of roll cage from what I've read on other forums.

Only thing I could find with the Team Chase sitting on the Super 5SC Flux. Looks like the front mounting points hit the front shocks but the rear looks ok as well as the sides.

Savage Flux tooth pitch a MOD1 type.

I got my pinion's from Kershaw Design but there are some issues with quality (centre shaft hole is off centre).

My truck is still going well but it's never been really thrash to fully test it. I want to get the newer version machined but not just yet.
