Today I recieved a complete set of hot racing alloy rod ends, hpi TI turnbuckles, and some smaller M3 alloy rod ends and turn buckles so I can eliminate the slop from the servo to the bell crank. I just need to bolt it all together and reset the steering and we should be go to go for some more runs. Oh and setup the new radio :) shootin for this weekend!

Hopefully all this helps! I was already running the GH bellcrank but just added the GH hubs, alloy ends and TI shafts.

This link was my root problem, hopefully the alloy ends fix it

Well after a long day messin with the slop ive managed to isolate it and ordered new hubs. I even tried putting alloy hubs and knuckles on but nothing worked. I also have to replace the SS adj upper a arms as the ball ends are worn and as you know those are some strong rod ends. The bell crank and turnbuckles are nice and tight, but the wheel cups need to be shimmed. So I need to find some 8mm x 0.2mm shims so I can put them behind the hex's. Even with new bearings theres slop.

All this trouble shooting can be summed up as two words.... Preventative Maintenance!!! I didnt dot it for so long and now its come to haunt me

Got about 90% of the slop out, also shimmed up the wheels and setup my new radio. I'm so stoked to test out my new mod   I'm really hoping that it helps. Then pair it with another mod I have left, hehe oh man I'm so stoked!!!

your steering linkage arm is pretty,  mine was done a bit more primitive. although we did get the ball in there and eliminate some slack

Is that some round stock or tubing? It's an interesting idea for sure.

sorry .250 round stock I believe it was called a swedge joint we used to retain the plastic ball joint I'm thinking about getting some metal ball joints and try to make a better version now that I know I can do it.

Lol this is true, although with the money I spend on it it could seem that way

Today wasnt a great day, could not get the truck to drive straight. Well it would go straight until I started to hit the upper power band then the truck would drift right hardcore and then go into a violent spin. There were a few times I spun out and went sliding into the grass and the truck would grab and get thrown 5,6,7 feet into the air, but it would land on its wheels 75% of the time :). The other issue I had was the right rear shock end was ripped off and I had to zip tie the shock in place, well it worked for awhile but constant 65+ mph crashes finally did the zip tie in. Not to mention the rear half of the body is all broke up now lol. Oh well back to the drawing board for now.
