when you tighten up all the slop it makes the truck a lot more responsive. try backing down your dual rates it may help, although you may have to change your shock settings. having your suspension too stiff will make it unpredictable. my 540 brushless mini slash is like that, i went too stiff on the shock oil and you never know where its going.

I've got to figure out the expo settings on this new radio. The slightest touch instantly makes the truck want to lift. I could reach 55 mph in less than 200 ft but when I cross 60 the truck becomes a different animal, 70 haha well...

I always run 40-60% expo on my xl. full throttle bombing runs with a mamba monster on asphalt tend to get a little out of hand without it. try 50% first then tune up or down from there. need to get my hands on some street tires for speed runs, had my eye on some proline ones but i cant remember what they're called

Dude the flat black idea is insanely sick, hmm I'm going to go look if I have some. I do have chrome and chameleon color purple to green.

Let us know how you make out, I tried painting my EB and it didn't stick to well. Used self etching primer and everything.

Did you sand the pipe with 320 or courser? The big thing with painting metal ESP stainless and more so and endbleed. Is you need to sand it to open the pores of the metal but who wants to sand on a $130 pipe.

Well I wish I would have just painted the body all black now. I jacked this one up bad. The transfer tape I used was to sticky and left residue behind and the overspray clung to it. It would have turned out cool if it had not, but hey life happens and i dont care what it looks like as long as the body does what its supposed to

hey LL, to paint it flat black just spray the outside of the truck with black lexan paint for the inside. kinda looks like velvet or satin. you can still save the truck from being a silver and pink blur! lol

come to think of it a buddy of mine did a *censored* sick zebra stripe paint job on a Topkick body for his summit by straying the inside of the body Cadillac pearl white and putting the zebra stripes on the outside. the flat black on glossy metallic pearl white was an eye catcher

Didn't sand, probably why it didn't take, oh well. It's back to its raw glory now.

I don't mind your paint job, the silver looks wicked. Who cares you won't be able to see it at 75mph anyway!

Well the silver is a plus right now cause when it's way down the road I know the front is facing forwards cause it's shining at me lol.

Once again I stripped an all metal 3spd tranny lol ERCM Power once again to blame here ;)

Now after I went home and fixed the tranny I went back out and pulled 74.9mph! So close to 75 which is my goal. I did reach over 74 a couple times and had a crash at 74.2mph which resulted in a broken shock and a stripped upper a arm. Thats all that broke considering it flipped at over 74mph. Still a very tough savage :D

Looks as though the lid to your tranny may have issues? It is almost like it isn't pushing the gear set down far enough to hold proper mesh with the drive gear? Just food for thought.
