+1 on the mechanical brake. a lipo fire would be inadvisable at 100+mph.

So your going to be apart of the 1/5 size club? The new TVP's look long enough.

The idea behind the added length is more of a stabilized run at higher speeds and so I can fit both fuel tanks inside the tvps. I just like a clean sleek look with only the pipes hanging out. It's probably going to be 1/6 in size not quite 1/5 but it will still be long. I've been looking for a nice long aerodynamic body but haven't had any luck.

The trucks become very stabilized at high speeds with the extra length. Mine is great and even on rough surface like grass there was very little correction needed to keep the truck straight.

there is a guy on this Fb group I am in and he builds his own 1/5 scale XL tvp's.. 80 bones to, I might drop the coin just to have a set..  LL.. do you have a pic of the motor plate? I want to do 2 ercm lrp 32's. I think you could get 6hp out of each one or more .. Any pics of the dual motor plate? 100mph will be sexy... its funny all the so quote other 100mph videos on youtube that there are.

I haven't made the motor plate yet, but I'm building one similar to the twinzilla. As for tvps, it takes me about 8hrs to make a set and there free  :D

Little update on the flux part of this build.

Installed the front XS shocks with modified shock towers. I still need to fill them with 60wt oil and put fuel tubing on the outside of the shafts. The front with all the batteries just weighs to much for them right now. Also cleaned up the back end with all the wires. I may be trimming the rear tower a little bit so there isnt as much rake on the body. I do intend on keeping the rear shocks big bores. This truck is about 85% finished, just need to shim the wheels, program the ESCs, fine tune shocks, and cut and paint the new body. As for the body I have another new clear savage GT2 body that ill be using. I stole the last one to fit my nitro truck lol

Trimmed the new body for the truck, I also setup up the rear shocks. I'm using 3 rubber stops inside the shocks filled with 60wt, red rate hellfire springs and one med preload. Nice and stiff but man this truck actually makes this setup flex lol. Overall I'm getting closer to turning it on. The next step is checking batteries and setting up the rear diff.
