Haha she was mad for all of a minute. I think she's just learned to accept that I'm going to order parts regardless of what she says.

All cut out, just needs some fine tuning and a couple more holes then it's testing time
The new plates are thicker about an 1/8" compared to the 0.090" aluminum. There also 7/8" longer. The alloy plates were 320g each compared to the new plates at 245g. Over all it's 0.33lbs loss but I'm sure if I try I could make it a nice 0.5lb.

Well so far I've only cut out 0.3lbs. The reason is these new plates are longer and thicker than the aluminum ones. Pair that with more power to the same weight which is good. The old setup was 15.3lbs my guess is this one will be about the same. But according to my calculations I've almost doubled my power, but I dont know how accurate that is lol. Anyways I've got more horsepower per pound now. 120 mph shouldn't be a problem

how can you double the power of 2 torks by just replacing them with 2 leopards that are only 8mm longer? You will have more power, but it will not double

I figure I'm running between 7-8hp through the truck which I was about 5 with the 2200's but I could be wrong. I'm not to confident with electric stuff. On 8s each the truck will have slightly over 9hp

Shes just about ready to run, just need to setup the escs and charge the batteries

Old weight was 15.3lbs ready to run, the new weight is 14.5lbs ready to run. More power with less weight, things should be real interesting on the first pull. Kinda leary about it cause I want to go full throttle sooner but with the added torque idk lol

The pinions did weigh a lot so I took some material off to help lighten them up.
Before @ 61g

After @46.3g and 46.6g

I would go even further and also drill a few holes into them to make them look like lightened spur gears. like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tekno-RC-5115-S ... 58ae5970b3

When I max the motors out I will, these gears arent going to max the 1600's out, but I have a special mod to increase my gearing thanks to Ascender. I need to build it first lol

Well I think I found an issue. All this power has worn my dogbone much quicker than normal. The new 1600's didnt help either lol. Not only did it melt the pin, but the diff pinion is now wollowed out in the bulk, a new bulk by the way. So I have an FLM one coming and will be putting a new bone in lol. It was stripped on a 112mph run

I don't think I have ever seen that happen before. Very impressive with the amount of torque it takes to do that.

wow, thats impressive!
its kinda funny, when you have a normal truck breaking stuff is annoying, but when you are running something insane and break a part most of the time its just impressive.
