My $250 BL E-Savage.

Post by bleach » Sat Sep 17, 2011 9:19 am

I just picked this up, Venom 3300's (not bad batt's, will be good for my roto-start.)

GM Racing BL plates, HobbyWing 60A-SL, as for the motor, I can't spell the name, unknown shocks (any guesses?)  Don't know if here is any trans or diff upgrades.

I believe those shocks are GPM. Though I can't find a good picture of them right now so I'm not 100% positive. Got any plans for the truck?

nice truck
it looks like those shocks are gpm buggy/truggy style and the e-savage has hpi mt2 short shock towers fitted
only diff upgrades available are from GCM same guy who made the chassis plates
gearbox is tough stock but can be upgraded to all metal gears -requires some modding and drilling
weak links are the stock plastic drive shafts nearly impossible to find steel cvds to fit
most people run the traxxas 4951x driveshafts between the e-savage stub axles and out drives

a few plans.

-New Servo (250 oz-in)
-140AMP or better, ESC with 3S or better Lipo
-Upgrade anything that breaks.

So far it's a bast to drive, the shocks need dialing in. (pogo-stick.)

That about it for now.

Thanks.
