HPI E-Savage brushless help

Post by CaseyR2011 » Mon Jan 14, 2013 7:15 pm

I just picked up a slightly used E Savage and not to impressed with the speed it has with the stock setup im looking for a brushless setup that would put it close to the performance level of the Savage Flux. Any help with this would be MUUUCCHHH appreciated.

Why not just grab a flux setup off eBay?
This is my Savage.  There are many like it, but this one is mine.

ive been on other forums and people have said that the flux setup will not work on the e savage due to the motor being to big and something about the transmission. Im new to the electric rc im used to nitro(Tamiya Nitrage) so im completely new to all the electric stuff. Have you heard of anyone putting the complete flux setup on the e savage? i have also heard about the traxxas velineon 3500 motor is a good fit to the e savage but not to sure on what i would need and the performance i would get out of it.

I'm not to familiar with the e-savage setups, but if you want to be happy, eBay the tranny too.  Even if you order little by little, it will be worth it in the end.

I would stay away from the traxxas stuff personally, save for the castle motor.

I think the problem with the tranny is that the flux tranny wont fit or match up to the holes in the e savage. I don't have to run the flux setup i just want the e savage to perform as close as possible to it.
