Flux tire options.

I am wanting to know what is the best grip tire for the Savage flux ,factory size?

40series trenchers but you'll need to gear down by two teeth as there heavy

I am a little new to the gearing aspect. I do know that the pinion the gear on the motor is 20 tooth stock, so does that mean I need to go to 18 ? The spur is 44 so that would be a 42, correct?

No, just leave the spur gear as it is and go 18 on the pinion only.  8)

Will the 18 tooth pinion cause the truck to run slower or the same speed with the trenchers? Would you happen to have a link or some kind of info like gearing for dummies you post?

Gearing down on the pinion will give you more acceleration with less top end but it will also reduce your temps. Gearing up on the pinion gives your more top speed and higher temps. With electric stuff heat is bad. It's finding that medium that can be tricky. Heavier wheels, gear down, lighter than stock you can gear up.

There's a bigger change in gearing when you change the motor pinion vs the spur.

The trenchers are taller though and top speed really shouldn't be affected by the 18 tooth pinion. The 18 tooth pinion with trenchers should be about like stock.
