40 series trenchers vs stock flux wheels

Post by jigsaw351 » Mon Mar 12, 2012 3:34 pm

if comparing the two set ups what are peoples thoughts that have run both 40 series and stock sized savage wheels on a flux.  im curious to know if its worth spending the money on some 40 series trenchers vs spending not as much money on stock sized savage wheels and tires.  i know theres the weight factor that can hinder steering and cause stress on the drive train and with bigger tires an upgraded servo is a plus.  i have a new flux hp on extended tcs tvps and need a set of wheels and tires for it.  i have the trenchers on the way but have thought that maybe its better to stick with some stock sized wheels and tires and save some money.  general bashing and driiving is all that will be done with it.  i sorta feel like the stock size will look a bit weak givin the extended tvps.

Most good sets of wheels and tires will be better than stock
I'm running xl sized tvps and barely got my myself a set of tires that are larger than stock and I love them
Before this I've ran nothing but the stocks or smaller than stock tires.
I bet you will love the trenchers when you get them
I'm actually trying to get myself a set

The trencher x is a bit shorter but wider
The regular trenchers are taller and skinnier
Also I think one of them has the traxxas bead so check on that if you order some so they match up
