I have used super glue and it works but not long. The CA glue and Spuer glue are exactly the same thing, just CA glue has a little something extra to keep that tight bond. I bought some big bottles from tower for cheap. The super glue bottle I got cost the same as a big bottle from tower and I used up the super glue bottle on one set of wheels.

My opinion is order the correct stuff cause your just going to redo it anyways with super glue. Oh and I bought medium and it holds up to 60mph so far with no issues

Hobby grade tire glue and the super glues available at hardware stores are all basically just ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate with various additives to modify viscosity and shear strength. I've been using Permatex Ultra Bond for years and it works as well as any of the CA adhesives sold by R/C manufacturers.

Hi all,

I did not want to start another thread, so here is my question:

Is it possible to use just regular silicone glue on tires and regular rims so I don't have that issue with 'how to removed tires from rims'.
