Hello all,

Been lurking around here for the past couple of months, getting back into rc after a 10 yr layoff (family stuff). Ran nitro trucks and cars (T-Maxx, 1/8 scale Mugen buggy, Losi truck) back in the days at Sun Valley Raceway. Anyhow going electric this time around, bought a Savage HP Flux after doing a lot of research, it came down to that and the Thunder Tiger Mt4 G3. Part support seemed alot better from HPI, besides who ever heard of Thunder Tiger, at least I never had. I did the TCS XL frame extension, HPI HD drive gear, RRP slipper clutch, Hot Racing ring & pinion gears, Integy rear hub carriers and 17 MM hubs, and a set of Trenchers for upgrades so far. Its still a beast even with 4S batteries, like everyone else theres a big smile on my face when its pulling the front wheels off the ground rolling 20 mph. I will try to contribute what I can to the knowledge base here, learned a few things from the initial build but still have alot to learn. See you all around,

                                     Dave

Welcome to Savage Central Dave, it's great to have you aboard. I lived in Socal for 15 years and worked out of Ontario. Sounds like your on the right path, have you thought about the Alza center diff mod? Probably the best thing i have done on my Flux XL.  8)
