Would the following on/off work on Savage Flux HP?

Post by rlanza1054 » Sat Jul 26, 2014 12:48 pm

Hi,

My silicone switch cover broke the other day.

I am shopping around for this simple silicone cover for the on/off switch on the electric Savage. In my case a Savage Fkux HP (1/8th scale).

I found the regular silicone cover; no problem, ordered that.

But I found this electronic switch by a company called SkyRC.

I found this switch: SkyRC Model: SK-600054

According to the specs it can handle up to 12volts

Input Voltage: 4-12V
Max. Current: 10 Amp
Battery Mode: 1. NiHM / NiCad

I don't even have a switch on my savage anymore - its redundant.

The ESC beeps to let you know its on (if you have the stock Blur). There is an option in the Castle Link software for it.
I would seriously consider if you really needed that switch.

After I broke the switch and silicone the 1st time - I just cut it off. It does nothing...you would be silly to leave lipo's plugged if you were not driving the car.
-I have small kids around my place...and that is just dangerous imo.
There is a fine line between bashing and trashing.....so I like to carry spares.
