2 battery questions

Post by speedracer25f » Tue Feb 24, 2015 11:23 am

Two battery questions.

1. With the battery boxes on the flux, is there any need for hard case batteries?  I see some people running hard case ones and some running soft case.

2. Ive read hundreds of posts, watched tons of videos and I cant decide between 4s or 6s.  Some videos of people running on 6s it looks out of control.  I want to do a lot of off road bashing and jumping.    I want to be able to go fast but I don't want uncontrollable 30mph back flips.

I guess, with the more experience you garner, the better you'll eventually be able to handle a 6S.

Im on 4S and find it overwhelming.

I see no reason to move to 6S at this point.

When I had my XL Flux running, 4s was crazy enough for just general bashing/jumping.

IMO, hard case Lipo's are cheap insurance against the risk of a small pebble or stick or something puncturing the battery. Granted it is a small risk, but it is a risk.

I agree, I run hard-case 9000 mah 4s been running this setup for a couple of years and I am very good at handling the truck and 4s is still plenty. I have a blast with mine no matter if I'm bashing at the park or running on concrete.
