help! overheating issues

Post by provoker » Mon Jun 15, 2015 9:53 am

first off thanks for any help i receive im out of idea's right now lol. i ran the stock transmission and gearing with the savage and ran into alot of heat issues, so i ended up droping the stock pinion to an 18t and cut a vented hole into the front of my body and the car ran nice and cool but i kept blowing up transmissions. so i got myself the alza CD and im running a 11/48 with the vorza center diff and novak 11t pinion. im overheating in 15minutes or less @ 180f. i run the turnigy 5000mah 65-130c 3s lipo's. also my ESC is mounted behind my motor i have TCS XL tvp's and badland tires (small and light). im running 100k/500k/100k

the only idea i had was to add some washers to the screws mounting the motor to give the holes some space to vent out the hot air. i ran the car even without a body on and it still overheated so idk at this point lol

everythings prettymuch factory but brake % and motor timing which is set to low (saves heat as far as i know). i don't even really use the brakes only for ohshit moments haha throttle curve is normal cutoff is 3.4. imma plug it in and check it and see if it for some reason changed its settings
