I need more power!!!!!

Post by savagexl222 » Fri May 01, 2015 10:23 pm

Hey boys
Ok the 5.9 has finally crapped out
I know this has been discussed 1000 times before
But I wanted to start a fresh thread with new mills before I spend
Some serious money
Need some suggestions on an upgrade for my xl
Already running the ercm end bleed pipe
So where do I go from here
Don't really race more of a basher with this truck
Want the torque and the top end if possible
And what happened to this picco 28 boost everyone is suggesting ?
I can't find it anywhere
Discontinued ?
Any help would be great
Thanks guys
Cheers

If you want torque and top end than get the Boost. You can find them on ebay and absolutehobbyz

I suggest my modified LRP 30...it is going to outpower any Picco Boost there is, modified or stock !   the engine has wicked bottom and revs all the way to 40 000 RPM..... Best of all it only costs $290.00 modified and can be shipping to your door my mid next week...

Back your dyno pull up in a savage

I can vouge for Neals' engines.  I have a few, inclding a Nova for my Savage that I only put in when that 'silly power' is needed. For example, I'm telling you guys I thnk I can do a standing back flip under the right circumstance. $290 is a steal for one of his engines IMO. Make sure to pair up a good pipe with it regardless what you get,

BTW my setup is a real world dyno, not a bench dyno.

In a 6lb lowered, lightened 2wd truck any .28 can push it with 1:1 and a 3spd.

Distance will be greater depending on the engine

Right yours is the only one.

I think this guy wants to do more than speed runs.

There are many options out there for the Savage.

LRP .28, .30, .32

Nova .28 5 and 7 port

And the Picco.28

All available in stock and modded versions. Im not sure what your budget is. Modded mills run an extra $100 or so.

A couple guys just picked up the modded .30. I would wait a bit to see ktheir results. Justins home modded mill looks impressive. Its also budget friendly.

I have a picco .28 and an ERCM picco .28 and have been very happy with them both.
In my buggy I have a novarossi and after seeing the quality of the novarossi I think I am going to try one in the savage when the time comes.
