Savage LRP 32. to 6s Flux Xl conversion questions

Post by BigBadBronx72 » Mon Feb 22, 2016 3:57 am

So, I'm converting my Savvy LRP .32 to Flux HP status. My stats are as follows; it's a Castle 2200kv, same as a stock HPI branded Castle, just the green case. Alza CD with a Vorza Flux 48T spur, Flux HP spec diffs (the machined ones, not the sintered ones) and 6s power. My questions are;
1) What weight silicone do u guys recomend in the diffs? It's a basher.
2) What pinion do you recomend?
Again, it's a 6s, so take that into consideration
Thanks guys! :twisted:

I run 100k/500k/100k in my flux. I also use 40wt oil in the shocks with red hellfire springs. For 6s I would recommend 11/48 gearing with your timing set to the lowest. Remember that the heavier the tire you need to gear down. I personally like Tekno rc pinions.

I have the alza setup on my flux but only run 4s I have 50/500/50 for my diffs. 50 mainly because I had it and didn't want to buy more fluid. I have an 11t pinion. I also like tekno for pinions as they use a 5mm set screw instead of 4 mm.

I'm just running stock Savage tires, belted, on stock rims.
