Larger Fuel Tank

Post by GreenLantern5000 » Thu Nov 09, 2006 10:24 pm

Savage X fuel tank is about 175cc or so. Is there anywhere I can get a larger one to use!!!!! I would like to put 250cc or so of fuel so I don't have to re-fuel as often. W/ the huge OS.30 engine, my truck is very, very fast.....

You can always get a larger tanks from GreatPlanes, Hayes, Dubro or Sullivan. Just search for "fuel tank" on tower and heaps will come up.

Or there is the 180cc AquaCraft tank

The only problems is where are you going to mount it without the risk of smashing it? It'll be nearly impossible to mount a 250cc tank, if you dont have somthing like a 2 inch exteneded front tvps.

I too would like a larger tank for my X SS - but am hoping on a direct fit, without mid mod.

Does anyone know of a specific tank that is larger (200+ mm), that will fit the standard pegs?

I just got one of those in the other day. I'm planning on using it in my mid-tank mod racer project. It will fit perfectly between the tvps and it is low profile.

I've been thinking about that Aqua tank for awhile too. So it fits width wise but how's the length and depth?

For my project it will be a lower cg tank and bigger than the MGT tank. I am using a couple of plastic braces to mount it. I'll try to get a couple of pics up soon, but so far I like it better than the MGT tank.
