They're on ebay for like 6.99 but it was going to be $25 shipping to me. I left them a question if that was accurate and haven't heard back.

I was reviewing this thread today and noticed that a couple of links to mount kits had got mixed up. I'm not sure when or how it happened, (perhaps last time I updated prices) but I figured I would put this out there for anyone who is buying kits, you might want to recheck links.

Sorry for any confusion caused.

Ok My turn to ask a noob question

I have this
Image
And this
Image

Now I have the X4.6 towers and the old style arms. So it should fit right?
But I cant for the life of me figure out how to mount this to the towers. It doesnt fit. The innermost holes on the larger piece (bottom of the pic) are simply not lining up with the towers. Now I could mount these on the towers direct, but that will severly limit travel (I've already mocked that up) any help would be appreciated. I was 100% sure this is the kit I needed for X towers and Non-X arms.

Well I got it to work. Stupid me  . The difference in the old style kit and the X kit is the arm mounts AND the main shock tower mounts  . The new X towers inner most hole are only off by 1/16th of an inch, maybe a hair more. I had to drill new holes, all in all it dropped the mount by 1/4 inch if that. 8)

Ok, Next question

I bent a shaft  SOAB. It works, but I dont like it. I want to upgrade to IRC's hardened steel shafts, they are 4mm. Now normally I would pick up my calipers and figure this out myself. but my batt's dead. Are the IRC shaft and LST saft interchangable? If so what else are. Up untill now I was under the impression that the IRC shocks and LST shocks were the same. Is what I'm thinking true?

Oh yea, I'll post pics of my shocks when I Unvail my final product in march :P Have to get a few things to bling them up a bit

They are the same size and share mount sizes but the rest is a bit different from standard LSTs from what I gather. I don't think the shafts are interchangeable. I don't have any LSTs to compare mine to though, and I can't even tell you their size right now because I don't have my savvy with me where I currently live, sorry.

Ok, Im at a loss and need some LST Guru Help, I'll get a pic or two of the problem up tonight

Right now, With the way I had the LST's mounted using the IRC .25 mount setup, on Hostile MX Tires, The LST's would bottom out leaving the truck still almost 2/3" off the gorund. So I flipped the bottom IRC mounts around, and althou it lowered the truck a little bit, Now the shocks bottom out leaving the truck only 1/8" off the ground.

I dont want to lower the truck any more, but I cant jump this the way I want knowing all the stress is on the shocks and mounts. Does anybody have any ideas? Shafts from a different shock that would work? different mounting options? Dont say new tires :P

sounds good, I will get a pic of the top mount up tonight, and a quick walk throu of how to make the .21 tower mount work on your X towers. Takes 5 minutes, 1 drill bit, 2 screws and a strong set of thumbs

So you want to make your .21 Tower IRC mount work on your X style Tower. It can be done :D
It's easy, takes only a few minutes, and if you have a drill, drill set and two extra shock tower screws your all set!
-->First put your two extra shock tower screws into the outer most holes of your tower.
-->Next, using your very strong thumbs, push the IRC mount onto these screws, line it up so that when you get the IRC mount flush with the shock tower, it is centered on the tower. This took me a few tries to get right. Its hard, and your screws will bend, I suggest using the stock screws as they are softer.
-->Now take your drill and bit, make sure the bit you have is the same size of the holes already in the IRC mounts, and using the shock tower as your guide, drill away, You will end up with two nice holes, very close to the other holes. But IRC uses strong aluminum so the lack of material should not have an issue.
--> Then Reassemble your mounts and shocks knowing you just saved yourself some money for Beer! :D

hmm, I guess that's the price of using such large wheels and tires. All I can suggest is to use bump stops on the shocks and hope the Raven coils provide enough stiffness at the end of their travel.

Im not sure what kit you would need
Your best bet would be to send a pic and question to innovative rc

@dodge,,Ive never ran LST's,,but what if you flipped the top mount & ran it upside down,,wouldnt that lower your shocks,,allowing the truck to bottom out..
just a thought
