will the savage xs handle trenchers?

Post by froggy8 » Sat Jan 11, 2014 5:48 pm

hi guys i am new on here, my name is robert and i have a savage xs.

question is i have just got myself a sc8 esc with the 4700kv motor and i have ordered some proline trenchers with desperado wheels. i will be using 24t pinion and wondered if i will have any heat issues? i know some who is using 4000kv with no issues at all but the 4000 has more torque then the 4700 and i am bit worried, hope someone can give me any piece of mind please

many thanks

I'm running a 24T with 2.2 Badlands and it will still get pretty hot.  I run it hard though.  I added a heatsink and fan to the motor to help out, it's been to cold outside to really see what kind of difference it will make though.
