How to make my xs wider in stance

Post by Dfish1247 » Tue Jan 13, 2015 2:50 pm

I got a set of duratrax 2.8 wheels and tires because the stockers are awful.

Anyway, the back fits fine, but the front, I have the steering turned down to nothing to run them.

I seen the thread about the wheelie king extended axle kit and can't find the kit anywhere. Does it still exist?

Are there any options?

I wonder if the suspension off an hp,4.6, and the like would fit? I can fab if needed.

I've already ordered all the hd cups for the whole truck and a wheelie bar. The stockers have about had it.

Thanks guys.

Use a 1/2" offset wheel. I have seen all kinds on towerhobbies for the XS.

These are 1\2 offset, they're just too big really but the truck does so much better. Anyway,I got a set of 19mm extensions on the way. That ought to help.

Yeah, I was really pleased with the handling of my XS right out of the box. I bought sway bars and never even put them on. The only way I would want it wider would be if I extended the wheel base at the same time. The XS is almost race worthy out the box. I spent tons on my Nitro's trying to get them to handle as well as this little rocket does.

After a few months, the junfac wheel wideners work, the wheels didn't do so well. The junfac's are just slightly smaller than the hexes in the wheels, I ruined them because of this.

The hexes rounded out, jb weld, epoxy, will not hold up to the power. I even drilled holes through the wheels and ran 5 screws to the wideners, the result was broken wagon wheels.

Is there a 2.8' wheel that can stand this power without going to 17mm hex like my buggy.

Btw, do any of you use this forum anymore, it's getting warm and time to bash.

I'd do a 17mm buggy hex conversion and run buggy tires. Super durable and lightweight
