What should I do to my Savage when I first open the box?

Quite simply, read the enclosed documentation. Pay close attention to the engine break-in procedure and be sure to follow it precisely. Most people would recommend extending the suggested break-in for three more tanks running the engine 1/4 to 3/4 throttle "blips" in a "figure 8" pattern. This allows for the differentials to break-in evenly on both sides of the truck. Once this is completed, see our tech tips section for easy to do modifications you can do to your Savage to get the most out of your truck.
