How to put a Dynamite Spinstart/Pullstart Combo on LRP .30

Post by robsmith_420 » Thu May 05, 2011 2:29 pm

Hey Guys I Just thought I would show how you can put a Dynamite spinstart/pullstart combo off of a dynamite .28.

Parts Needed:

Dynamite Spinstart/Pullstart Combo Assembly Part # DYN6034

Dynamite Spinstart shaft  Part #DYN6063

Optional.  Cut your LRP spinshaft to size :)

I really hate pullstarts and this dynamite combo has worked great for me.  I have a Dynamite mach2 Big Red in my X and an LRP .30 in my XL.  Whn I first tried to break in my big red i used the pullstart.     swearwords and bloody fingers later i got my spin start and it was night and day.  Dynamite actually recommends breaking the mach 2 with spinstart but what do they know anyways lol.  So as I will be running my LRP alot more this summer I got looking and the bacplate on the motors are identical.

So the only diffrence between the LRP and Dynamite was the thickness of the head on start shaft.  The shaft diameter is exactly the same.  So i got out my handy dremel and trimmed it down to size.  You can also just buy the Dynamite start shaft from Horizon Hobby for $3.00  Part # DYN6063.  They are back ordered till the end of May so I just used what I had.  If you decide to dremel the LRP one down ya might wanna take a tiny bit less of than I did.  Although I have tested the ground down one in my Big Red and it still works the same.

Install the spinstart/pullstart backplate and your ready to rip.  Pull it or spin it your choice. 8)
